James
is a member of Team Rocket, an organization that tries to take over the
world of Pokémon. James was born to a wealthy family, but he ran
away when the rich lifestyle got to be too much. Before he joined Team
Rocket, he went to (and flunked out of) Pokemon Tech and was in a Bike
Gang with Jessie. His time with the Bike Gang was the only time he ever
got respect, even though he had to use training wheels. In almost every
episode, he and his partner Jessie try to kidnap Pikachu, but they always
fail miserably. In fact, he and Jessie are at the bottom of the Team
Rocket ranks. He isn't that great a trainer, losing every match he fights
in. James is the more worrisome and cautious of the infamous duo, often
wanting to give up than getting into danger. He is also willing to dress
up like a woman in order to get Pikachu... perhaps a little bit to willing...
James is also a bit kinder than his red-headed partner. Jessie has been
his partner and friend since they were at Pokemon Tech.
Though they seem to have dedicated their lives to swipe Ash's Pokemon, James and Jessie have occasionally teamed up with the twerp to battle against a greater evil, mostly their own rivals, Butch and Cassidy.
