Brock
is older than Ash or Misty, but he decides to follow them on their journey
anyway. He was originally the Leader of Pewter Gym, but when his long lost
father came back to take care of his family, Brock went along with Ash
and Misty. Brock is very wise and strong, so he is like the father figure
of the trio. He is a great help to Ash, because he knows a lot about Pokemon
and nature, and usually knows a good deal about their next destination
and the next Gym Leader Ash must face. Brock and Misty sometimes fight,
usually as a result of Misty teasing Brock, but they are still good friends.
Brock is also a fabulous cook. He isn't very interested in Pokémon
battling, his dream is to become a great Pokémon Breeder. Brock
also prefers Rock Pokémon (that's why his name rhymes with 'rock'!)
but he also has a soft spot for Vulpix, given to him by a fellow breeder,
Susie. Brock has a lot of strengths, but he does have one great weakness...
he falls head over heels in love with every girl he sees, usually making
him revert from his usually serious attitude into a blabbering idiot, until
Misty drags him away, pulling on his ear. Unfortunately for him, he is
always rejected, but maybe someday he will find someone...
Brock left the show when the show entered the Orange League series, staying behind to assist Prof. Ivy, but he returned to the team when Ash returned to Pallet Town.
